As most know, I have been in Hawaii and Arizona the past month. I was in Hawaii doing some consulting work for JN (my previous employer) and in Arizona visiting family and friends.

I am back on my blog now, as I am writing this from Taiwan while waiting for my flight to Cambodia. I’ve been able to convince Mr. Stanford to join me this time around, so there will be some fun.

Check out the pictures on the link below…some are from Hawaii and others are from off-roading. Look for the one where Tony went off the edge of the trail.

Anyway, I still have a long day ahead of me…I’ll get more pictures up from Cambodia in the next day or two.

Hawaii ’09!

December 17, 2008

Well, its official. I’ll be in Hawaii in January for nearly a month! My focus will be to take care of some projects at work and to HAVE A REAL BEER (mostly the beer one). However, I will be making plenty of time for fun. (Hint hint Miss Yumi…). Oh, that reminds me, I will be there for New Years…so if anyone has something going on, make sure to tell me.

Basically, we are installing this phone system at JN. It is a hosted solution, one that I was opposed too actually. Well, lo and behold there are alot of things that weren’t planned for and the cost savings has shrunk to where this is more of a headache than an asset. I mean, I literally laid all this out in writing…so I’m not surprised.

Things in Cambodia are going well. Alan was in Phnom Penh with Chea getting his stitches out. Chea is out of his cast and is starting to exercise his hand. The hotel is nearly finished…ceilings are being put in right now.

If I am out of my mind, it’s all right with me…

One of my biggest problems with blogs is they all tend to be the same. Mind you, there is always the exception, however, you can generally-and accurately-attach a stereotype to an audience and have it shine true. With that in mind, I decided that this blog will not be an area to rant on my life and all of its misfortunes, nor will I use this blog to generate pity or to feel unique.

No, this blog and ultimately my time in writing it, will be used to show the good things in my life. Truth is, I have an amazing life with nothing I can feel sorry or regretful about. Do I want more? Of course. Do I need more? No. This blog will be for my friend’s and family to check up on the good that I do with my life. With the things I accomplish and achieve. Sure, there will be posts with my thoughts at given moment. Sure, I might go off on a rant or five…but the point is, you will want to read this. And you will smile at the end. That I promise. Besides, its good to smile.

My close friends know what is happening in my life. I won’t bother retelling that chapter again. For those that don’t know…well, you have stumbled on a new chapter. I think you will catch up very quickly.

The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new.

So here I am. Writing a blog. I’m pulling up a few news websites to find out if Hell did indeed freeze over.

Nothing on the front page. Damn Apple iPhone 3G release. How this announcement from Apple trump Hell freezing over?

I’m not really sure where to go with this first post. I keep thinking if I sit here long enough, it will fill out automatically. But, nope…that is not the case. *sigh* Hey, I’m still new to this!
